In Lebanon, the head of Hezbollah’s press service, Muhammad Afif, was killed in an Israeli Air Force strike.

According to preliminary reports, he was located at the headquarters of the Ba’ath Party in the Ras En-Nabaa district of Beirut. The strike also injured three civilians. Earlier in the week, Afif had called the Israeli military’s ground operation in southern Lebanon a “failure.”

Thus, Israel demonstrates that its target is not only Hezbollah’s military wing but also its officials. Tel Aviv aims to weaken the Shiite group on all fronts: economic, social, political, and military.
