The Taliban movement announced the elimination of an Islamic State cell.

The operation took place in the Ghor province. Among the terrorists killed was a field commander of the MTO. According to the Taliban, the jihadists were involved in attacks on Shiites, including the recent shooting of pilgrims from the Iraqi city of Karbala. During the gunfight, three Pashtun nationalists were killed.

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid claims that ISIS militants underwent training and received instructions from the Pakistani province of Balochistan. Earlier, the Taliban had reported the existence of an MTO training camp in Pakistan, where, for example, a suicide bomber (from Uzbekistan) had undergone training.

Pashtun nationalists have repeatedly accused Pakistan of assisting ISIS.
